Description
The modular design of the exhibition enables it to fit into any space available. The wooden construction gives a highly individual look and feel to the space and its flexibility enables the exhibition story to be told in any way desired. The Museum’s design team worked closely with the Tim Hunkin, the renowned creator of extraordinary interactive exhibits, crazy automata and amazing machines, to ensure the exhibition had a unique vision and style that appeals to all ages.
Learning Messages
Science and technology is fundamental to our everyday lives.
Design is all around us every day.
Creativity is essential in science and technology.
Science can be fun and enjoyable.
Great ideas can be seen in the smallest places.
Physical Requirements
The full exhibition covers a space roughly 400m2 but is modular so can be reworked into spaces smaller or larger.
Target Audience
All audiences.
Technical Specification
Power requirements and maintenance needs are minimal. It would take approximately two weeks to set up and take down and requires two 40-foot Lorries to deliver. The exhibition requires minimal staff to run it. The low-tech approach ensures the exhibition continually pushes the visitor towards the everyday and familiar. But, its design and creative approach means ‘expect the unexpected’ and look for a few surprises along the way.
