UK impacts: Food resources

    In the future the effects of climate change may be felt in our shopping baskets as rising temperatures and changing rainfall patterns begin to affect food supplies all over the world. Agriculture in the UK may benefit from warmer temperatures and longer growing seasons, and farmers may be able grow new types of crops such as apricots and olives. But negative impacts are expected in tropical regions, from where the UK imports many foods.
