Earth and stars in space

Beyond Earth Festival

7-9 March 2014
Take part in three days of activities celebrating space scientists for International Women’s Day

Is there life on Jupiter’s moons? How are spacecraft protected from extreme temperatures? Could you help discover a new planet?

Join us at the Science Museum for a free three day festival - Beyond Earth - to probe these questions and more.

Meet scientists and engineers who develop and use the latest technology to explore the vast expanse of space. Find out how their research is helping us to understand the universe we live in, what they have discovered and how you can be a part of it. Come along to a talk, watch a demonstration, get crafty making a Sputnik Satellite or having a go launching your own Vostok Rocket.

All our Beyond Earth activities are free to enjoy and will take place at the Science Museum. Booking is not required – just turn up and explore.

With thanks to all the teams and individuals for taking part.

This event is supported by the Biogen Idec Foundation.
