Over the next couple of months several members of our Explainer team will be building a small gauge steam loco in front of your very eyes via this drop-in workshop. Come over and see how we progress in Station Hall and get a greater insight into basics of railway engineering.

We'll be working on the model at various times during each week - grab a Daily Diary when you enter the Museum to find out whether we're around in Station Hall on the day you visit. You can keep up to date with progress on our Facebook page.

Visit the Polly Model Engineering site or watch the video below to find out more information on what our Explainers will be building.
