What happens when cell division goes wrong?
All the different cells of your body usually live, grow and divide in harmony. For example, you always have just the right number of liver cells and white blood cells. Your body has many different signals that control how much, and how often your cells divide. If any of these signals are faulty or missing, the result can be cancer, where too many cells are produced.
