What are the dangers of radiation?
Nearly all cases of skin cancer are caused by exposure to the low-energy ultraviolet rays in sunshine. Sunburn causes gene damage, so fair-skinned people are more at risk than those who tan easily. There is no firm evidence that the radiation produced by microwaves, power cables or mobile phones can cause cancer.
