These collections are held at the Library in London

• Science & Technology Studies (STS) Collection : over 85,000 books and periodicals focussing on the history and social aspects of science, technology and medicine
• STS Rare Book Collection: nineteenth century and later rare histories and biographies of science, technology and medicine
• Microfilm collections : a wide variety of subjects in the history of science, technology and medicine including the Archive for the History of Quantum Physics
• Science Museum Publications Reference Set: books and periodicals published by the Science Museum and its predecessor the South Kensington Museum from 1857 onwards. It consists of several hundred volumes including catalogues of museum collections and special exhibitions, museum guides, histories of science, technology and medicine and works on the public understanding of science. 
• Science Museum History Collection: books and reports about the Science Museum, the South Kensington Museum and its science collections published by other organisations including British government departments.
