Our London Library within Imperial College closed on 3 February 2014. A new Research Centre with library facilities will open at the Science Museum in late 2015.

All our services are now based at the Science Museum Library & Archives in Wroughton until the new research centre opens in London.

We offer a free enquiry service to help you find out what’s in our collections. We respond to enquiries within 20 working days but responses are limited to enquiries that concern our Library & Archive Collections only.

We have photocopying and specialist digital scanning facilities and can provide copies of items from our collections – subject to copyright requirements, any access restrictions that might apply and the condition of the material.

Viewing our collections
Until the new research centre opens in London, our collections can only be viewed by appointment at the Science Museum Library & Archives in Wroughton on Fridays, subject to staffing availability.

On Thursdays we welcome research-based group visits at Wroughton – you must book at least a month in advance. Your visit will be focused on how to research and use our collections and we will highlight which materials are most appropriate for your needs.
