The Science Museum Group's Railway Heritage Designation Advisory Board as at April 2013.
There are 13 members of the Advisory Board and one observer. Each are appointed by the Board of Trustees of the Science Museum Group for a term of three years. Members are drawn from the railway industry, the archives and records offices, the museum world, and the heritage railway sector.

The Board of Trustee's of the Science Museum Group established the Railway Heritage Designation Advisory Board on 1 April 2013. The Advisory Board meet four times a year to recommend artefacts and records for designation by the Board of Trustees of the Science Museum.
