We are already doing so much – with your support we can do even more.
Your support as a Patron will make a real difference to our work and will influence the way that people connect with science in the future.
Help us to…
By becoming a Patron, you will provide essential support which will enable us to reach out to more people and fuel their passion for science – through our education programmes, our exceptional collections, and our world-renowned galleries and exhibitions.
Patrons represent the highest categories of individual annual giving to the Science Museum.
In appreciation of their generous support, we invite our Patrons to take part in an exclusive programme designed to bring them closer to the heart of our Museum, its collections and the people behind the scenes. Download our brochure (PDF) to find out moreDownload our application form (PDF) to join
The Smith Centre at the Science Museum was opened 24 October 2006 by Her Majesty the Queen.
The Smith Centre is designed to bring together leading figures in business, science, culture and academia for discussions and debates on the major scientific issues of the day, and to encourage greater private-sector philanthropic support for the Science Museum, as well as the other NMSI Museums: the National Railway Museum and the National Media Museum.
All Patrons are invited to share the elegant and exclusive Smith Centre during regular opening hours.
The Smith Centre was funded by the Martin Smith Foundation, the charitable foundation of the Smith family. The Foundation aims to support people and projects in the arts, sciences and education.
