Why are some things heavy, and other things light? It might seem like a no-brainer, but we don't really know what gives particles mass.

A particle of light - a photon - has no mass at all, but other particles do, and some have more than others. It's not clear why.

But scientists have an idea - and it's got something to do with treacle.
