Expect the unexpected

For some scientists, the most exciting thing that could happen when the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is turned on is that something completely unexpected will happen. They won't find what they've predicted - instead something they haven't yet imagined will be produced.

The LHC could also shed light on some other mysteries of our universe - such as whether we live in a world of hidden extra dimensions.
