Jaw-dropping results

'It was very exciting,' says Nicholas Schiff, a neuroscience expert from Weill Cornell Medical College. 'My next reaction was "Boy, I hope we can get the data to convince people that this is real".

'It's one thing to have a room full of people with their jaws on the floor, but it's another thing to be able to translate that into anything you can communicate scientifically. My anxiety rose dramatically when I realised that we really had to be able to prove this, because this was going to be important.'
