Blindingly brilliant bubbles

Beijing, Olympic host city for 2008, is putting up some very unusual new buildings - a stadium that looks like a bird's nest, and a TV studio that defies gravity.

Even next to these, the Beijing National Swimming Centre stands out. Nicknamed the Water Cube, it looks like a huge cube of foam, with the pools, restaurants and seating scooped out of the middle. It's also earthquake resistant, and environmentally sustainable.
