Shelter in an emergency
Over 30 million people are forced out of their homes annually by war and natural disaster - that's the combined populations of London, New York and Shanghai made homeless every year.
Disasters wreck peoples' homes and destroy the resources needed to build new ones.
'There are two stages after big disasters. In the first month or so, people are housed in tents and any spare buildings. After this, countries need long-term plans for redevelopment,' explains Nabeel Hamdi from Oxford Brookes University.
