Pretty pods

People use short-term shelter while they rebuild more permanent houses - this can take months or years. Tents are quick and easy to put up, but aren't very nice for long-term living. Markus Robinson, co-founder of Icosa Village, hopes to provide sturdier, long-lasting shelter using foldable Pods.

The funky-looking pods are made from lots of identical triangles of plastic, which can be sent to the site of an emergency and slotted together without any special tools.
