But the best solutions aren't always the most
hi tech. Nabeel Hamdi has worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). He explains:
'The last thing we want is to make communities dependent on outside help. Often, the best innovations are new ideas that help people make houses out of what they already have - traditional materials like bamboo can be reclaimed after disasters.'
