Vessel vision
So, after the race ends, what's next?
'In the next few weeks we will shift the instrument packages to ten container vessels. As far as the science goes - these are our future, they are stable platforms and we will get a more global distribution of data. But if we can do it on yachts, we can do it anywhere!
'Why stop at ten ships - our vision is for two thousand to have radiometers, and for them to be part of the standard kit for pleasure cruisers.' Simon Boxall, Southampton Oceanography Centre
