Will the Antarctic ice cap survive global warming?

If climate change heats the whole Antarctic ice cap to melting point, sea levels will rise by 57 metres. Much of Scandinavia and eastern England would be under water.

No one is predicting a great flood on this scale. But how much of the ice could melt? antenna asked British Antarctic Survey glaciologist David Vaughan for the latest news from the pole.
