Skating on thin ice?
You've seen the headlines: one day the ice is getting thicker, the next it is melting.
In 2004 a new satellite called CryoSat will blast off into orbit. Its mission is to look down on the Earth's ice to see how it is thinning or thickening as our climate changes.
