A load of hot air

Soon you'll be able to wash your hands in 'green' hot water.

The Museum is starting a project to recycle the waste heat produced by the air compressor in the Wellcome Wing.

Many exhibits use compressed air - the Virtual Voyages simulator, interactives in pattern pod and the beam-engine models in the East Hall - along with much more behind the scenes.

The air compressor gets very hot, but the energy won't go to waste for much longer.
