Concorde shrunk the planet - but she also damaged the planet. Aircraft emissions are a major cause of climate change and Concorde consumes fuel as fast as her passengers drink champagne.

And noise pollution remains a problem. Although scientists couldn't prove that the sonic boom caused ill effects, most states in the US refused to allow Concorde to fly over. In Britain residents living under Concorde's flight path shout about the noise the aircraft makes, even at subsonic speeds.
