This map of the Americas might look a little fuzzy, but it's no ordinary atlas. It's made of DNA, not paper, and it's so small that you can't see it through an ordinary microscope.

For the first time scientists can use designer DNA to make any 2D shape they want. And it's remarkably simple - the expert behind this 'DNA origami' says you could make it in a kitchen.
