An early death?
At only 6 years old, Dolly was relatively young when she died. But there's no proof that cloning was to blame.
'Sheep can live to 11 or 12 years of age, and lung infections are common in older sheep, particularly those housed indoors. There is no evidence that cloning was a factor in Dolly contracting the disease.' Dr Harry Griffin, Acting Director, Roslin Institute.
