Shark Bay
Clever bottlenose dolphins who've learned to use sponges as tools are living within a pod of dolphins at Shark Bay in Western Australia.
Shark Bay is an area of extreme natural beauty and is a World Heritage Site. Dolphins are just one example of the impressive variety of residents of the area, where sharks, whales, and many more contribute to a Noah's Ark of wildlife.
Scientists have been studying the animals in Shark Bay for 14 years. Michael Krutzen and Richard Connors used all this information when looking at the 'sponger' dolphins' DNA.
