Becoming Pac Man
Among the first to sign up could be Adrian Cheok and his team at the University of Singapore. They've created a life-size version of the arcade classic Pac Man, where gamers play the role of Pac Man or one of the Ghosts.
Players wear a hefty headset, laptops on their backs and a GPS tag, allowing elements of the digital game to be superimposed on their field of vision as they gobble and bleep their way around the real world (in the this case, the university campus).
