Our brother planet

Why are we so interested in Mars?

'Mars is the brother planet of Earth. It was formed around the same time, and it is incredibly similar to Earth. It rotates at around the same rate; a day lasts just over 24 hours. It has seasons a bit like those on Earth, and there are icecaps on the poles, but Mars is simpler to study because it doesn't have any oceans.'
