Malaria met its match when teams of scientists from Britain, Tanzania and the Netherlands attacked the malarial problem feet first.

Mosquitoes are lazy layabouts gorging on human blood at night, then resting for six hours or more because they are too fat to fly. A team of British scientists made use of the mosquito's sluggish ways by spraying surfaces with a mosquito slaying fungus. The killer fungus enters the mosquitoes' feet while they rest and slowly kills them.
