Call your mother

Mars Express, Beagle 2's mother ship, has been unable to communicate with its missing baby. Mission scientists have decided to take drastic measures, cutting off all communication signals in an attempt to get Beagle 2 to cry out for its mother.

Stopping signals for ten days should force Beagle 2 to start sending out a virtually continuous signal during the Martian daytime. Scientists have a
nail-biting wait until communication resumes on 22 January.
