Keep your distance
Robotic technology developed for Beagle 2's arm allows people to manipulate equipment that's thousands of miles away.
The tiny gas analysis package could be placed anywhere on Earth. Scientists may use it to monitor global warming or pollutants in remote locations. It's a very useful tool for environments so extreme that they're difficult to study.
