Autism under scrutiny

Scientists looking into the likelihood of Wakefield's MMR and autism claims are up against it because there's still so much to figure out about autism. That makes it tough to prove or disprove that MMR is the culprit. So where are we with autism now?

We asked David Potter of the National Autistic Society and Tony Charman - who has 12 years of autism research behind him - what is autism, how many people get it and do we know what's to blame?
