Mark's story

Antenna spoke to Motherland volunteer Mark Anderson to find out what the journey was like for him.

'The question of who my ancestors were and what my past was like was one that always needed answering for me. I was never comfortable describing myself as a Black Briton. I always felt that something was missing from my story and my roots deserved a mention. I thought the Motherland project would be a good way to satisfy my curiosity about my African roots.'
