European origins
'Mark Anderson's Y chromosome is in haplogroup 1 which confirms its European origin. We can't say exactly which part of Europe it comes from, but most of the samples which matched Mark's were in Central Europe. If we typed more markers in the future, and had bigger databases, we could do better.'
