Secret weapon

Their secret weapon is a virus - called a bacteriophage - that specifically attacks MRSA.

The virus kills the superbug by injecting its cells with viral DNA, then raiding the cells' stores and using the loot to create millions more viruses. Eventually the MRSA cell becomes so full of viruses it explodes.
