Is MRSA always harmful?

Q. Is MRSA always harmful?

'In the majority of cases of people who have MRSA on their skin, it doesn't do them any harm. Fit, healthy people are safe.

'Problems arise when a patient who is ill in hospital gets MRSA in their bloodstream through an IV line or wound. This causes an infection and stops the wound healing.'
