Electronic paper
Paper-thin flexible screens, or 'electronic paper', that you can download documents onto and write on are still at the prototype stage. There are a lot of ideas for ways to make electronic paper; one suggestion is 'electronic ink'.
Electronic ink consists of tiny black-and-white balls that float up and down in liquid when electrically charged, to form an image.
