Improved implants
Nanotechnology will also improve artificial implants. Nanomaterials with specially designed surface properties could be used to coat anything from artificial hearts to hip joints.
Nano-textured surfaces can encourage the patient's tissue to bond to the implant, which then lasts longer and is more comfortable for the patient.
