Walking like a robot

Nao's body can move in 25 different ways, outmanoeuvring most other robots. Nao uses his flexible fingers and thumbs to pick up objects.

'Motion sensors help Nao keep his balance when he's walking. He can detect when he's fallen over, which sets off movements to help him up again,' explains Bruno Maisonnier, Nao's creator at Aldebaran Robotics.
