Robo-hand

Scientists in Japan have shown that people can control a robotic hand with the power of their thoughts. The human-like limb can replicate people's hand movements by reading the brain patterns that produce these movements.

The researchers used functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to measure people's brain patterns. fMRI reads brain activity by scanning blood flow to different regions of the brain and using the patterns of activity to detect different thoughts.
