Of all the brain-machine interfaces currently under development, one technology in particular has the potential to become part of all our lives. Mind-controlled virtual-reality simulators are currently used as a training tool for disabled people learning how to use brain-computer interfaces. But experts predict that they could be the next big thing in computer entertainment. Virtual-reality environments are already being developed for the entertainment industry.
