Brain attack
Every five minutes, someone in the UK has a stroke - that's over 130,000 people every year. A stroke is a 'brain attack' in which the blood supply to a part of the brain is cut off, damaging brain cells or killing them.
Scientists are now investigating whether stimulating the brain with a magnetic pulse can help stroke survivors recover more quickly.
