A plausible alternative

'All the evidence - and there's quite a bit - suggests that EEG neurofeedback does have an effect in ADHD,' says David Vernon, an expert in the technique from Canterbury Christ Church University in the UK.

'The question really is, does it have an effect when combined with methylphenidate (Ritalin), or does it have an effect on its own? We can't answer that question yet. It would certainly be a very interesting and plausible alternative to drugs.'
