Learning by habit

So what's really going on in Gordon's tiny brain? Can he think? Is he in control? Does he really learn?

He's not conscious, say Gordon's creators, but he really is learning. 'What's amazing is that as the robot is taught to go through certain procedures - like turning left or right - the neuron links strengthen just from the habit of doing something repetitively,' says Whalley.
