Where are they now?

Planktos's research ship is currently undergoing vital upgrades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. The team hope to set sail within the next month or two once the Weatherbird II is in shipshape condition. One major improvement is a brand-new electronics and communications lab, to help process data and allow crew members to keep in touch with their colleagues back on land.

'Our ship is still being outfitted in Florida and the crew is working hard getting it prepared as we get closer to setting out on our first Planktos experiment,' said Michael Bailey from Planktos.
