Future planet
How do you design for the future of the whole planet? According to the United Nations we need to develop sustainably so that we 'leave future generations as many opportunities as, if not more than, we have had ourselves.' So, for example, if we use up all the Earth's oil resources, we have to leave the next generation new kinds of fuels and alternatives for plastics.
Even the house you live in could soon be designed with the future in mind. Smart designers are thinking big, with whole new towns and cities in the pipeline.
