What’s so special about the Genesis cargo?
Genesis has spent the last two years snatching a snippet of the Sun. Scientists think that our Solar System formed about 4.6 billion years ago from a collapsing cloud of gas and dust. The Sun makes up most of the matter in our Solar System, so the tiny wisp caught by Genesis could hold the best-ever clues to where it all came from.
