Full-moon fever
So what can studying Jupiter tell us about our own planet?
Jupiter is very different from Earth. It's much bigger, made mainly of gas, and a lot colder than our planet. But some of its moons are similar to the Earth.
Thanks to Galileo and previous missions we now know that Jupiter has over 60 moons. Future missions will carry out more detective work on the moons, to see what they can tell us about the Earth.
