Life-saving before birth
The Centre for Fetal Care at Queen Charlotte's Hospital in London, the team behind Jamie's operation, performs all sorts of procedures on babies in the womb.
Doctors have inserted tiny cameras into babies' bladders to look for blockages, drained excess fluid from babies' lungs, and even carried out emergency blood transfusions on unborn babies.
At other hospitals, doctors have experimented with healing cleft lips and palates. Before birth is a good time to do this, because a baby's scars heal so well.
