Silver plaster case, Chester, England, 1900
The silver case is engraving with the words "We heal all wounds save those of love”. The case is hallmarked “Chester”. The case was used to hold a court plaster - a piece of silk coated with gelatine to cover cuts and grazes on the skin. The packaging shown with the case is for a court plaster.
