Feeding cup with mauve decoration, Europe, 1801-1900
Made from tin-glazed earthenware, this cup was used to feed sick people who were unable to sit upright. The hemispherical design with two handles either side of the spout is typical of 1801-1900 design. Feeding cups often had a landscape or floral design like this one.
